For over 60 years the German American Chamber of Commerce has provided bilateral business relations between the United States and Germany. In 2004 the GACC California branch was established in San Francisco to make the United States West Coast more easily accessible.
California, as one of the world's top ten economies and leading innovator in the software and IT industries, is an important trading partner of Germany. Germany, in turn, is one of the five most important trading partners of California.
The GACC California branch, located close to Silicon Valley, acts as a link between German and American businesses and works mainly with companies in the information technology, biotechnology, semiconductor, nanotechnology and renewable energy industries . We invite companies from all industries who have an interest in US expansion, particularly in the West Coast Region, to take advantage of our
services.
The GACC California branch is responsible for the entire US West Coast, including
Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.
The German American Chamber of Commerce, California Branch, which shares an office with Invest in Germany (www.invest-in-germany.de) and the German Office for Foreign Trade (www.bfai.de), belongs to the German Chamber Network (AHK - www.ahk.de).
