Sven-Erik Heun is a partner in the Telecommunications Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Frankfurt. Mr. Heun heads a team of specialized lawyers focusing on telecommunications, the Internet, and e-commerce as well as other regulated markets such as public utilities and services. He has broad experience in telecommunications and Internet law in the regulatory as well as in the commercial and transactional fields. Mr. Heun also practices in the fields of public utility services and public administration, including public procurement as well as privatization of public utilities and services.
His activities include legal, regulatory and strategic advice, representation before regulatory and antitrust authorities as well as in administrative, antitrust and civil court litigation.
Mr. Heun is consistently listed among the leading lawyers for telecommunications and e-commerce in legal directories such as, inter alia, Euromoney's Expert Guides - The Best of the Best, Chambers Global - The World's Leading Lawyers (2000-2008), European Legal Experts and Who's Who Legal. Mr. Heun is editor and author of the "Handbook Telecommunications Law" ("Handbuch Telekommunikationsrecht", 2ed. 2008) and has published numerous articles on the legal questions of telecommunications and e-commerce law in reviews such as Computer und Recht and in treatises such as the "Handbook for the IT lawyer" ("Handbuch Fachanwalt IT-Recht" 2008). He is member of the editorial staff of Computer und Recht, speaks frequently at industry conferences and lectures on telecommunications law.
Mr. Heun is Co-Chairman of the working party on Telecommunications of the German Computer Law Association (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Recht und Informatik, DGRI) and a member of the advisory council (Fachbeirat) to the EuroHandelsinstitut e.V. (EHI) in relation to the certification of Online Shops under www.shopinfo.net.
